I'm considering using LiFe packs direct instead of regulated LiPo, like the one listed in the link below. Anyone have any experience with using direct voltage from LiFe packs on 6v rated servos such as the BLS451 servos? I'm also assuming I might be able to use a normal step-down for the tail servo (BLS251).
Thanks in advance, Ron http://www.hyperion-eu.com/products/product/HP-FG305-1450-2S |

I ran the LiFe/A123 this year and it worked great. At full charge they are about the same voltage as a 5s nicad. I did use a step-down for the tail servo. No comment on the BLSs as I have not ran them yet.
Good step down |

Cool. I may have to try them this season. Perfect Regulators is coming out with a fail-on switch that I should be able to use between the battery & electronics :) Thanks. |

Everything looks good so far :) I'm thinking I might make some pass-through y-cables for multiple outputs so they can be used in occupied channels...maybe even 3 outputs.
Maybe something like this??? ![]() |
